76ers' Embiid denies drastic weight gain
John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports
Joel Embiid won't be talking to the media until he participates in a full five-on-five scrimmage, but he did take a moment Sunday to deny a recent report about his weight and conditioning.
"I don't weigh that," Embiid told CSN Philly's Dei Lynam, in reference to a Philadelphia Inquirer report claiming he weighs around 300 pounds (read more in the story below).
The report also stated that the 76ers' rookie was sent home from a recent road trip following an altercation with assistant strength and conditioning coach James Davis.
Embiid, the No. 3 overall pick in last June's draft, underwent offseason foot surgery and has been limited in conditioning exercises as a result.
