NFL investigating Patriots for deflating balls

The New England Patriots could be headed to the Super Bowl with an NFL investigation looming over them.

The league is reportedly looking into the possibility that New England deflated footballs during Sunday's 45-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship, according to Bob Kravitz of WTHR.com.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora later confirmed that the league is indeed looking into the issue.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, no stranger to controversy surrounding his team, claimed the notion of the team deflating balls is "ridiculous."

"I think I've heard it all at this point," Brady said Monday morning on Boston radio station WEEI. "That's the least of my worries. I don't even respond to stuff like this."

Kravitz added the Patriots will lose draft picks if the NFL finds them guilty of sabotaging the balls.
