Report: Kyle Shanahan turns down 49ers' interview request for OC job
And now we play the waiting game.
Former Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan turned down a request by the San Francisco 49ers to interview for their vacant offensive coordinator position, according to Dianna Russini of NBC D.C.
With the coaching carousel in full swing, Shanahan is being linked to vacant jobs with the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos.
It's unclear if Shanahan is a serious candidate for the Broncos' head-coaching job or the team is only interested in him being a coordinator.
In Baltimore, the Ravens would have to lose OC Gary Kubiak, who is reportedly the top candidate to take over as head coach in Denver, in order to hire Shanahan.
Shanahan has also been linked to John Fox, who is all but officially the new head coach of the Chicago Bears.
