Dodgers GM: We're 'not dangling' Dee Gordon

Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Farhan Zaidi attempted Tuesday at the winter meetings to quash a recent rumor suggesting the club is open to trading second baseman Dee Gordon.

"He's a cost-controlled, All-Star second baseman that teams would have four more years of control, a tremendous player, and anybody like that, teams ask for," Zaidi told MLB.com's Ken Gurnick. "We're not dangling him. Like I said, he is our second baseman."

Gordon earned his first career All-Star appearance in 2014,  leading the major leagues with 64 stolen bases while hitting .289/.326/.378 over 148 games, but Alex Guerrero appears ready to contend for playing time at second base next season. Zaidi, however, remains adamant that Gordon is not a trade candidate.
