Taj Gibson on report he's unhappy coming off the bench: 'Please miss me with the drama'
It didn't take long for Taj Gibson to answer any questions that may have been floating around in regards to his happiness with the Chicago Bulls.
After a report surfaced on Thursday that Gibson would be unhappy coming off the bench again - but would play the good soldier regardless of his role - Gibson took to Twitter to shoot down any notion of discontent. No waiting for camp, no waiting for media day, just get in front of it right away:
I like coming off the bench tho!!! Starting or coming of the bench really doesn't matter. Please miss me with the drama #SeeRed #BullsNation

Not only is the "miss me with the drama" quote fantastic, so is Gibson's continued commitment to doing what needs to be done for the team.
As explained in the post below, Gibson's resume warrants him being a starting power forward, but the Bulls' frontcourt rotation - which also includes stalwarts Joakim Noah, Pau Gasol, and Nikola Mirotic - is such that it may make more sense for coach Tom Thibodeau to use Gibson off the pine. Regardless of the starting unit, Gibson stands to have a key role on a true contender, which is a pretty good spot to be in.
