Report: Senators' Methot wants a contract similar to Capitals' Orpik

The Ottawa Senators are holding their purse strings while they negotiate an extension with defenseman Marc Methot.
Bruce Garrioch of The Ottawa Sun reports Methot is looking for a five-year deal, which the Senators don't have a problem with. But the money is making the team sweat.
Making $3 million heading into the final year of his contract, it's believed Methot's camp is looking for a deal similar to the five-year, $5.5-million [deal] that Brooks Orpik got from the Washington Capitals.
Methot will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, but the price tag he's reportedly set on likely won't fly with the Senators.
