The Detroit Lions would like to sign Ndamukong Suh to a new deal, but things aren't looking very promising.
Lions are not optimistic about signing Ndamukong Suh to a new contract. He enters camp counting 22,412,500 against sal cap.

Suh's cap hit is astronomical and the Lions would surely like to create more flexibility where that is concerned. However, he's also a force on the field and needs to be locked up long-term as he enters the final year of his rookie deal.
Suh is a rare talent at the defensive tackle position and was the main reason Detroit finished sixth against the run last season. He's not someone they can afford to lose.
