Floyd Mayweather on Ronda Rousey: 'I don't know who he is' (VIDEO)

UFC president Dana White, in his continuing quest to market Ronda Rousey as an unbeatable wrecking machine, has gone on record saying that the women's bantamweight champion would destroy pound-for-pound boxing kingpin Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an MMA match (definitely not a stretch).

"Listen I get it. It's hard for guys to wrap their brains around that one," White said prior to UFC 173 in May (via Fox Sports). "Ronda wouldn't beat him. She'd hurt him badly. She'd hurt him badly."

Mayweather, however, seems to be unaware of Rousey's existence.

When asked by USA Today's Bob Velin about a potential matchup with Rousey, Mayweather shrugged and replied "I don't know who he is."

Mayweather is set to defend his WBC, Ring Magazine and WBA welterweight titles in a rematch against Marcos Maidana on Sept. 13 in Las Vegas, NV.
