With Sharks general manager Doug Wilson seemingly eager to find a new home for captain Joe Thornton, and no shortage of suitors waiting to see how the situation plays out, the big center's agent and brother - John Thornton - told TVA Sports on Sunday his client has no desire to be traded.
"San Jose is the only team on his list," he said.
John Thornton previously said Joe is content in San Jose, and would only consider a trade "if he felt the fans didn't want him."
For his part, Wilson is intent on changing the Sharks' culture, presumably at the expense of trading away the team's captain and second-highest scorer in 2013-14.
At the end of the day, the Thornton's have the last word thanks to a handy no-trade clause in a recent contract extension signed with the Sharks.
