Twins' Hicks to abandon switch-hitting

Jesse Johnson / USA TODAY Sports

A lack of confidence has led Minnesota Twins center fielder Aaron Hicks to break up with left-handed hitting.

Hicks has struggled at the plate this season, batting .187/.328/.252, but has been even worse when hitting from the left side, managing a .149 average to go with 21 strikeouts.
