Jaromir Jagr will be back for his 23rd NHL season as TVA Sports' Renaud Lavoie is reporting the future Hall of Famer has reached a one-year extension with the New Jersey Devils worth $5-6 million.

The Czech forward, who will play for his country at the upcoming World Championships, is currently tied with Steve Yzerman for the sixth-most points in NHL history with 1,755. With 44 more next season, he can leapfrog Marcel Dionne and Ron Francis into sole possession of fourth-place behind Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, and Gordie Howe.

He notched 67 points this season, and with two more at a similar pace, he will supersede Howe for third-place all time.
