VIDEO: Troy Daniels' trip from D-League to an NBA playoff game-winning shot
Troy Daniels' week got really, really good. After spending most of his season with the Rio Grande Vipers, the rookie finally got his biggest moment with the Rockets last Friday.
Daniels hit the game-winning three, and as James Harden said, saved the Rockets' season.
"You can say whatever you want about the D-League, but I wouldn't have hit that shot if I wasn't in the D-League a couple weeks ago," Daniels told reporters post-game, via USA TODAY Sports. "It's a dream come true. Plain and simple."
The 22-year-old was recalled from Rio Grande three times from Feb. 22 to April 13 this year. He appeared in five regular season games, going 12 for 25 from beyond the arc.
