While Steve Smith tries to find a new home in the NFL for the first time in his career, a regular season fixture against the Carolina Panthers might be enough to attract the 35-year old wide receiver.

Upset with how his 13-year tenure with Panthers ended, Smith went on WFNZ with Frank Garcia and Mark Yarbro and talked about what potential suitors can expect and what it would be like if he got the chance to face the Panthers.

“They’re going to get the best, in-shape 35-year old guy that they can get," Smith said. "And if that happens to run through Bank of America Stadium, put your goggles on because there is going to be blood and guts everywhere.”

The Baltimore Ravens have emerged as early favorites to sign him and, even though the dates have not been finalized, Smith would surely get his chance to spill the blood and guts of his former teammates in 2014.
