WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross' wife, Jan Ross, passed away Wednesday from injuries sustained in a Vespa accident.
She was 55.
Jim shared the tragic news on Twitter.
Jan was riding the Vespa home from the gym Monday night in Oklahoma when she was hit from behind by a 17-year-old man, Jim explained in a blog post on his website. She wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and suffered a brain injury and multiple skull fractures.
"I will fully admit that there has been no experience in my life that could have prepared me for this life changing week," Jim wrote. "To see one's life partner and love of one's life being kept alive via life support equipment is tragically heartbreaking."
