Lethal attack highlights Belgium call-ups

One glance at Roberto Martinez's 27-man Belgium squad for a pair of upcoming tilts is enough to keep most defenders up at night.

The Red Devils unveiled their star-studded team Friday for a World Cup qualifier against Greece on March 25 and a friendly against Russia at Sochi's Fisht Olympic Stadium three days later, and the former Everton gaffer will have a welcome selection headache considering the depth of his midfield and attacking corps.

A Premier League-heavy squad - with 14 of the 27 plying their trade in England's top flight - names like Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku, and Kevin De Bruyne highlight the British-based members, while volcanic-hot Dries Mertens, tough tackler Radja Nainiggolan, and speedy winger Yannick Carrasco represent Europe's other marquee divisions.

Among the other squad notes: Newcastle shot-stopper Matz Sels might get a crack at a debut cap, while notable omissions include oft-inured City defender Vincent Kompany and little-brother tandem Jordan Lukaku and Thorgan Hazard.

Here's a look at the squad that will assemble for Greece's visit at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels:

GK: Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea), Simon Mignolet (Liverpool), Matz Sels (Newcastle), Koen Casteels (Wolfsburg)

DF: Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham), Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham), Thomas Meunier (Paris Saint-Germain), Thomas Vermaelen (Roma), Thomas Foket (Gent), Laurent Ciman (Montreal Impact), Dedryck Boyata (Celtic)

MF: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Mousa Dembele (Tottenham), Radja Nainggolan (Roma), Youri Tielemans (Anderlecht), Axel Witsel (Tianjin Quanjian), Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United), Nacer Chadli (West Bromwich), Leander Dendoncker (Anderlecht)

FW: Dires Mertens (Napoli), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Romelu Lukaku (Everton), Yannick Carrasco (Atletico Madrid), Michy Batshuayi (Chelsea), Christian Benteke (Crystal Palace), Divock Origi (Liverpool), Kevin Mirallas (Everton)
