If it wasn't already evident, Javier Baez's skill set at second base is unprecedented.
Dominican Republic outfielder Nelson Cruz tried to catch Puerto Rico sleeping Tuesday night in a WBC matchup, but catcher Yadier Molina had other plans, nailing the veteran slugger at second with relative ease. Even more impressive was Baez's early celebration while completing the play.
Baez's ability to catch the ball, point to Molina, and then tag Cruz - all in one movement - was nothing short of outstanding. Plus, it's not every day you see a St. Louis Cardinal and a Chicago Cub work together, but that's the beauty of the WBC.
