South Florida's leading scorer Geno Thorpe won't return to the program next season, though it's not yet clear whether he intends to transfer or enter the 2017 NBA Draft.

"I don't plan on playing another season at USF after my graduation," he simply told Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times on Friday.

The junior guard averaged 15.2 points per game this season, his first with the Bulls after spending two campaigns at Penn State. He'll be one of the more sought-after transfers if he elects to go that route.

Thorpe is the third notable player to leave South Florida this year. Former star guard Jahmal McMurray transferred to SMU midseason, while former four-star recruit Luis Santos is reportedly set to transfer out of the program as well.

South Florida played to a 7-23 record this season and is in search of a new permanent head coach.
