Report: Bears could be alone in running for Glennon

Ron Schwane / USA TODAY Sports

Mere hours after the negotiating period for impending free agents began Tuesday, the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers have all dropped out of the running for quarterback Mike Glennon, reports John Mullin of CSNChicago, leaving the Chicago Bears as the sole team interested in the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer.

Glennon entered the day as one of the more attractive free agents as there are more than a handful of teams in need of a starting quarterback, yet Mullin cites his projected high price tag as a possible deterrent.

It's early in the free agency process for teams to be completely dropping out of talks for any player as the market for a competent starter remains thin. It's clear opinions are split on Glennon, however.
