Colorado will have to wait and see if its second-leading rusher from a year ago, Kyle Evans, will be available for the upcoming season following hip surgery, according to Brian Howell of Buffzone.

Evans was taken to the hospital on Saturday by ambulance after hurting his hip during a scrimmage.

"Any time you get anybody hurt, you worry about depth (at that position), but we have some other good running backs and we definitely need Kyle back," head coach Mike MacIntyre said Saturday after Evans was taken to hospital.

The junior appeared in 12 games for the Buffaloes during his second season, rushing for 346 yards and three touchdowns on 84 carries.
