What a night for Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Entering Thursday's game against the Winnipeg Jets with 999 career points, Crosby assisted on a Chris Kunitz goal to hit 1,000 in the first period. He recorded another assist on a game-tying goal by Phil Kessel midway through the third period, and finished things off with the game-winner - set up beautifully by Evgeni Malkin - in the extra frame.
And tonight will be remembered forever as the night of Sidney Crosby. The #Pens win it in OT 4-3 thanks to a goal from Crosby. WOW. pic.twitter.com/d90UGyp74I

Naturally, Crosby was named the game's first star, and is now only 998 points away from 2,000 for his career.
