Antoine Vermette's going to be hearing from the NHL.
The Anaheim Ducks center earned a game misconduct Tuesday in one of the weirder incidents you'll likely see in hockey. Vermette slashed a linesman after he lost a faceoff to Mikko Koivu.
Here's an isolated video of the slash:

Vermette was clearly upset about when the linesman dropped the puck, as he wasn't prepared. One of the better faceoff men in the league, winning an absurd 62.91 percent of draws this season, Vermette clearly takes his craft seriously.
In this case, a little too seriously.
If Vermette is ruled to have physically abused an official, he faces an automatic three, 10, or 20 game suspension.
