Mavs acquire Noel from Sixers for Bogut, Anderson, 2017 1st

The Dallas Mavericks have finally snagged their center of the future.
Dallas sent Andrew Bogut, Justin Anderson, and a 2017 protected first-round draft pick to the Philadelphia 76ers for Nerlens Noel, the teams announced.
That pick is top-18 protected for 2017, and if not converted, the pick will turn into two second-round selections from the Mavericks in 2018 then 2019, sources told ESPN's Zach Lowe.
Philadelphia will try to reroute Bogut before the trade deadline, but if that fails, the team will engage the hulking Aussie in buyout talks, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Mavericks reportedly plan to discuss an extension with Noel, who will become a restricted free agent this summer.
Noel showed tremendous defensive potential but found himself in a crowded frontcourt in Philadelphia. He often played out of position at power forward to accommodate the likes of Jahlil Okafor and Joel Embiid.
The 2013 sixth overall pick holds averages of 10.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.6 blocks in 171 career games.
