Report: Orioles have met with Bourn's agent

The Baltimore Orioles might be interested in bringing some added depth to the outfield.

Free agent Michael Bourn is still on the market, and the Orioles have reportedly "expressed interest" in his services and met with his agent, according to MASN's Roch Kubatko.

Bourn split the 2016 season between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Orioles, and fared well in his 11th big-league season. He slashed a combined .264/.314/.371 with 15 stolen bases and 48 runs scored.

As it stands, the Orioles have a full outfield with Hyun Soo Kim, Adam Jones, and Seth Smith. While Bourn isn't the dynamic player he used to be (he stole 215 bases between 2008-11), he provides leadership, a veteran presence, and depth at all three outfield positions.

Adding him to the roster would also allow the Orioles to keep Mark Trumbo at the designated hitter spot instead of having to rotate him into the outfield.
