Manziel 'trying to be a good person' after tumultuous 2016
It's unlikely Johnny Manziel ever sees an NFL field again, but the former Cleveland Browns quarterback may be on the road to self-improvement.
Manziel was indicted for misdemeanor assault charges in April, stemming from a February incident in which he allegedly forced his ex-girlfriend into a vehicle. The former Heisman Trophy winner was released by the Browns in March. Nike and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, ended their professional relationships with him the following month.
It appears that Manziel is trying to move on from his previous indiscretions, admitting Thursday on Twitter that he acted like a "douche."
No lie.. I was a douche in 2016 I'm just trying to be a good PERSON again#LostInTheSauce

Some believed that Manziel's account was hacked, a notion he refuted.
