Fitzgerald returning to Cardinals for 2017

Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald is returning for the final year of his contract in 2017, he told ESPN's Jim Trotter.
Fitzgerald confirmed the news later Wednesday, texting: "Truthful Trotter."
Fitzgerald said Tuesday he had an announcement to make about his future that he wanted to mull over a little more before revealing, but the veteran felt better about his decision Wednesday.
The Cardinals were reportedly waiting on Fitzgerald and quarterback Carson Palmer as the 33-year-old receiver weighed his options. Fitzgerald has one year remaining on his deal, carrying a $15.85-million cap hit.
Fitzgerald hasn't shown many signs of slowing down as he led the NFL in receptions this season with 107 and recorded his second straight 1,000-yard campaign in his 13th season.
