Larry Fitzgerald won't keep the football world waiting much longer.

The longtime Arizona Cardinals wide receiver provided an update of sorts on his future in speaking with Darren Urban of the team's official website, saying he's pretty much made up his mind but will take a couple more days or weeks before announcing.

A report surfaced earlier this week indicating that the Cardinals were waiting on both Fitzgerald and veteran quarterback Carson Palmer to decided whether they wanted to return for the 2017 season.

Fitzgerald will turn 34 in August, so retirement will be on the table sooner rather than later either way.

With the production he continue to enjoy in an otherwise down year for the Cardinals offense, though, the franchise legend almost certainly has something left to offer if he elects to play.

Fitzgerald started all 16 games for a second straight season in 2016, hauling in 107 receptions for 1,023 yards and six touchdowns.

The future Hall of Famer, who's spent his entire 13-year career in Arizona, is the franchise leader in all major receiving categories with an impressive 1,125 catches, 14,389 yards, and 104 touchdowns.
