Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask was forced to leave Thursday's game in Nashville after taking a Roman Josi slap shot off his mask.
Rask was replaced by Zane McIntyre, and was unable to return.
Head coach Claude Julien offered the following update after the game.
CJ on Rask: “You guys saw he got the shot there in the throat area...wasn’t well enough to come back & we’ll see moving forward how he does"
— Boston Bruins (@NHLBruins) January 13, 2017
The Bruins had one win in 11 games without Rask this season prior to the injury.
