Chicago Blackhawks forward Marcus Kruger could miss considerable time with an upper-body injury suffered Friday versus the Carolina Hurricanes.
Coach Joel Quenneville told reporters shortly after the 3-2 loss that Kruger will be "week to week," according to Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune.
Kruger exited in the second period and did not return.
The resident checker has played many roles for Chicago this season, filling in, at times, for injured top-six players.
