Watch: Capitals' Burakovsky nets 1st goal in 27 games

Geoff Burke / USA TODAY Sports

It's a Christmas Miracle.

After 26 games without a goal, Washington Capitals forward Andre Burakovsky completed the seemingly daunting task, sniping a wrist shot past the blocking glove of Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason Wednesday night.

For Burakovsky, the goal comes in his return to the lineup after missing the team's last three games as a healthy scratch.

The tally was his third of the season, and his first since netting a pair on opening night.
