Burfict: 'I'm mad' Jackson left Bengals for Browns
Plenty of things on the field have upset Vontaze Burfict through his five-year career, but apparently there's an off-field move that angered him as well.
Though Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson only worked on the defensive side in his one season with the Cincinnati Bengals, Burfict misses the former assistant, who signed with the division rival last winter.
"I love Hue. I'm mad he left," Burfict told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com ahead of facing his former coach this week. "He'll get that organization going sooner or later."
The Browns are still looking for the first win of their season, facing the Bengals on Sunday. Burfict isn't the first Bengal to offer his thoughts on Jackson's move, as head coach Marvin Lewis recently offered support to his former assistant in the midst of a particularly troubling season.
