The Detroit Red Wings have a little more clarity regarding Jimmy Howard's groin injury.
The Red Wings netminder is expected to miss 10-14 days with an ailing groin, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Saturday on the Headlines segment of "Hockey Night in Canada."
Howard left Friday's game against the New Jersey Devils after just over 11 minutes. Originally, the 32-year-old was expected to miss at least a week, according to head coach Jeff Blashill.
