Report: Rockies unlikely to trade Gonzalez, Blackmon

With ambitions of reaching the postseason for the first time since 2009, the Colorado Rockies aren't expected to be sellers this winter.

Rockies general manager Jeff Bridich has reportedly received inquiries regarding outfielders Carlos Gonzalez and Charlie Blackmon, though the chances of a deal appear low, according to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports.

Gonzalez has populated trade rumors the past several years, but the Rockies have remained reluctant to deal him even despite packaging fellow franchise cornerstone Troy Tulowitzki away in 2015.

The 31-year-old was an All-Star for the third time in his career last season after hitting .298/.350/.505 with 25 home runs and 42 doubles in 150 games. He's set to earn $20 million in the final year of his contract.

Blackmon is coming off his best season in the majors in which he hit .324/.381/.552 with 29 home runs, 35 doubles, and 17 stolen bases in 143 games. The 30-year-old remains arbitration eligible and is under contract through the 2018 season.

The Rockies finished 2016 with 75 wins - their highest total since 2010 - and return the core of a lineup that ranked first in the National League in both runs scored and OPS.
