Eddie Lack concussed at practice, placed on IR
Sergei Belski / USA TODAY Sports
The Carolina Hurricanes have placed Eddie Lack on injured reserve after the netminder suffered a concussion Monday at practice.
Carolina has tapped Michael Leighton to fill the void with an emergency recall from Charlotte of the American Hockey League.
Cam Ward's resurgence has limited Lack's opportunities this season. He owns a forgettable .856 save percentage in five appearances, winning once.
