Martial dropped from France squad as Dembele returns for Swedish test

France manager Didier Deschamps announced his 23-man squad Thursday for a pair of upcoming international matches against Sweden and Ivory Coast, with a number of players dropped from the previous team in favour for a rotated cast.

Aymeric Laporte, Yohan Cabaye, Andre-Pierre Gignac, and Anthony Martial did not make Deschamps' latest squad, with Samuel Umtiti, Adrien Rabiot, Olivier Giroud, and Ousmane Dembele preferred this time around.

Adil Rami also steps in to replace Paris Saint-Germain youngster Presnel Kimpembe.

France takes on Sweden on Nov. 11 in FIFA World Cup qualifying action before taking on Ivory Coast on Nov. 15 in a friendly match. The full squad:
