Westbrook, Thunder take perfect record into Oracle
The Oklahoma City Thunder will bring an undefeated record into Oracle Arena for Thursday night's much-anticipated matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
After squeaking out an 85-83 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, the Thunder now stand as the last undefeated team in the Western Conference, boasting a perfect 4-0 record.
Oklahoma City's early success can be largely credited to the play of Russell Westbrook, who entered Wednesday averaging 38.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 11.7 assists. After dropping 35 on the Clippers, the five-time All-Star joined DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant as the only players to start a season with four straight 30-plus point games in the post-Michael Jordan era.
Despite Durant's best efforts to downplay the animosity between him and Westbrook, even the most casual of NBA fans will likely tune in to watch the battle between the pair of former teammates on Thursday.
