Report: Hopeful buyer Bon Jovi watching Titans' ownership situation
Rock star Jon Bon Jovi is monitoring the Tennessee Titans' ownership situation in his ongoing quest to purchase an NFL team, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports.
Bon Jovi attempted to purchase the Buffalo Bills after former owner Ralph Wilson's death, but was unsuccessful.
The Titans also recently had their longtime owner, Bud Adams, die. Ownership of the team has been passed to Adams' children, though the NFL reportedly has some issues with the new ownership structure.
La Canfora has reported on numerous occasions that the Titans could eventually be sold, though the team has repeatedly denied his reports.
Bon Jovi likely doesn't have enough money to purchase an NFL team outright, as any given franchise will sell for more than $1 billion. He would likely have to be a minority partner in any ownership group.
