A Toronto woman, who doesn't want to be identified, is giving her tickets to Game 1 of the American League Championship Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field to a young Cleveland boy who was recently injured in a shooting, according to Cleveland.com.

The woman read a column by beat writer Paul Hoynes about The Larry Doby Youth Fund, and contacted the Indians to offer her tickets. The charity helps disadvantaged children and aims to reduce youth violence. Doby was the first African-American to play in the American League.

The team reached out to the family of Saed Abdeldayem, a 4-year-old boy who was shot in the foot on Wednesday at a barbershop. His uncle, 21-year-old Yusef Suleiman, jumped on the boy to protect him during the shooting. He'll be taking his nephew to the game on Friday.

"Saed is all ready to go," Suleiman said Friday. "He has his gear on and is all smiles."

Suleiman said the two are big Indians fans, and that he'd love to meet the woman who donated the tickets to offer his thanks.
