James Rodriguez, mother receive death threats on Twitter
James Rodriguez's inability to line up for Colombia in the latest round of World Cup qualification tilts has led to the Real Madrid star and his mother receiving death threats on social media.
Pilar Rubio shared some of the items she had received on Twitter that related to her son, and although her profile is private the images have since been shared:
Yahoo! Sports picked up the following words that were attached to a post of a photo of a pistol and bullets: "I am travelling to your home, I am armed, say goodbye to everything you love."
James' lack of availability for his country is due to a calf strain with saw him miss out on Real Madrid's 1-1 home draw with Eibar on Oct. 2. The issue sidelined him for Thursday's 1-0 away win in Paraguay, and he is set to be in the Spanish capital when Los Cafeteros take on Uruguay this Tuesday.
