Packers' Lacy officially out Thursday vs. Bears

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy has officially been ruled out for the team's "Thursday Night Football" game against the rival Chicago Bears.

Lacy suffered an ankle injury last week that was rumored to keep him out for several weeks, but head coach Mike McCarthy had held out hope he could be available for the Week 7 game.

The Packers will have to turn to Knile Davis to handle their rushing duties. The team acquired the veteran runner in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday and will have to get him up to speed for the divisional clash. The only other running back on the roster is Don Jackson, but he remains on the practice squad for the time being.

Lacy rushed the ball 17 times for 65 yards in a Week 6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Green Bay also listed several other potentially key players out for Thursday night's contest, which typically sees more injuries due to lack of recovery time. Starting cornerbacks Damarious Randall (groin) and Quinten Rollins (groin), tight end Jared Cook (ankle), running back James Starks (knee), safety Chris Banjo (hamstring), and receiver Jared Abbrederis (quadriceps) will all miss the game.
