Report: Giants to bench Beckham if behavior continues

The New York Giants are prepared to bench wideout Odell Beckham Jr. if he has another outburst, two coaches told SB Nation's Thomas George.

The mercurial pass-catcher - who's come under intense scrutiny for what critics call childish behavior - could even be suspended by the team if his next outburst is severe, George adds.

Beckham was penalized in the Giants' 24-10 loss to Minnesota on Monday after he taunted an opponent. It appeared as though the highly emotional Beckham's quiet night on the field led him to throw a tantrum of sorts - something that has occurred more than once this season.

Former Giants head coach Tom Coughlin recently said he would like to help Beckham stop being a "distraction," which led some to question why Coughlin allowed Beckham to get away with his antics while in charge of the team.

It appears the current Giants regime isn't prepared to let Beckham get away with anything further.
