The wait is finally over.
Some 800 days after being selected third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers, center Joel Embiid finally took the court on Tuesday for his first taste of NBA-level action following two years on the shelf with a broken foot.
Embiid had some jitters to start, clanking his first three shots, but eventually got his first basket off a nice fadeaway over Tyler Zeller.

Moments later, the 7-foot-2 Cameroonian also showed off his defensive abilities by punching out a dunk attempt by rookie Jaylen Brown.
