Miami Heat president Pat Riley is just waiting for the right time before reaching out to his former franchise player.
Riley promised in July that he would write a farewell email to his longtime franchise player Dwyane Wade upon his exit for the Chicago Bulls this summer.
However, Wade revealed two weeks ago that he has yet to receive anything from Riley, while also playfully reminding his former boss that his peculiar first name is spelled "Dwyane."
Speaking to reporters Monday, Riley confirmed that he has indeed written the email - he just hasn't hit send.
Wade spent 13 seasons in Miami, delivering Riley and Co. three championships and five Finals runs. He's the franchise leader in games, minutes, field goals, assists, steals, and points.
