Wang (biceps) was designated for assignment by the Royals on Saturday.
Analysis:
Wang struggled for much of the season, posting a 4.22 ERA on the year before hitting the DL in late August with a biceps injury. The Royals activated Jason Vargas from the disabled list Saturday, so the move to DFA Wang comes in response to the need for a spot on the 40-man roster.
