Report: Rockets, Spurs, Lakers, Pacers interested in Landry

Veteran Carl Landry may not have to wait much longer before being scooped up by another NBA franchise.

The Philadelphia 76ers waived the 32-year-old power forward Wednesday, along with center Tibor Pleiss, following 36 appearances in 2015-16.

The Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, and Indiana Pacers are among the teams interested in Landry, according to ESPN's Darren Wolfson.

The Sacramento Kings traded Landry to Philadelphia last summer in a salary-dump move. He didn't receive a consistent role until the tail end of the season, averaging 9.8 points and 4.1 rebounds.

The 76ers have a plethora of young bigs who would benefit from more playing time, leaving Landry out in the cold. A title contender looking for frontcourt depth could benefit from his rebounding and touch around the basket.

He's a little rough around the edges on defense, but those deficiencies don't seem to be hindering his market value.
