Report: Eagles shopping Eric Rowe
The Philadelphia Eagles are attempting to trade cornerback Eric Rowe, the club's 2015 second-round pick, a source told Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advance Media.
The Eagles have reportedly been shopping the second-year pro for most of training camp.
Rowe could be the latest remnant of the Chip Kelly era to be ousted, following an offseason in which the Eagles rid themselves of many players brought in by the former head coach.
"I can't say that. That is not in my control," Rowe said Thursday when asked if he felt his roster spot was safe. "All I can do is do my thing out in the game like I did today, so I can't say yes or no to that one."
Rowe is likely behind Leodis McKelvin, Nolan Carroll and Ron Brooks on the depth chart, and it's possible the Eagles could release him with Saturday's final cut-down deadline looming if no trade can be made.
