Jason Denayer is often compared to Vincent Kompany, but the Belgian centre-backs will be at separate clubs this season.
On Wednesday, Sunderland completed the signing of Denayer, as the 21-year-old joined the Black Cats on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

Denayer is a product of City Football Academy but is yet to make his first-team debut for the Citizens. The dreadlocks-sporting defender spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Celtic and spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Galatasaray before representing Belgium at Euro 2016.
At Sunderland, Denayer will compete for minutes with Papy Djilobodji, Lamine Kone, and John O'Shea.
