Cerrone asks for Lawler at UFC 205 in New York
Just days after an impressive victory, Donald Cerrone is campaigning for a big-name opponent.
Cerrone, who defeated Rick Story by second-round TKO at UFC 202 nine days ago, has taken to Twitter to voice his desire to face Robbie Lawler at UFC 205 in November.
FOX Sports' Damon Martin claims Lawler has been hounding president Dana White for a fight since losing the welterweight title to Tyron Woodley at UFC 201.
"Cowboy," the quintessential company man, gladly offered his services:

The former lightweight has gone 3-0 since moving up to 170 pounds, and now that he's handily beaten a durable gatekeeper in Story, he's aiming for an upgrade in competition. Lawler not only fits the bill, but he and Cerrone could earn Fight of the Year honors in what would be nothing short of a striking clinic.
Thus far, the only fight to be targeted for the event is a middleweight matchup between a returning Tim Kennedy and former light heavyweight champ Rashad Evans - the bout has yet to be confirmed.
UFC 205, the promotion's inaugural event in New York City, is scheduled for Nov. 12 at Madison Square Garden.
