Saturday has been a brilliant day for the Arsenal faithful, and if a 3-1 victory at Watford wasn't enough, Arsene Wenger's post-match comments will likely help buoy a fanbase that has been mired by a relatively dire summer.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, and Santi Cazorla were enough to see off a pesky Hornets side, though the highlight of the day was Wenger's admission that both Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez have had their medicals with the club.

"I think they should go through, both of them. They had medicals," Wenger admitted.

With just days remaining in the transfer window, Arsenal is set to address two needs, with Mustafi covering for centre-back injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel, and Perez alleviating a dearth of strikers at the Emirates.

"We have to finish the paperwork and I don’t know exactly when we will announce it but look, I think it could be announced at the beginning of the week."

The gaffer's admission ends weeks of speculation concerning Mustafi, and should help quiet the 'Wenger Out' crowd for the time being, as Arsenal heads to the international break with one win to go with a defeat and a draw.
