Lesnar beats Orton into bloody pulp, wins SummerSlam by TKO

WWE/Twitter

For the second SummerSlam in a row, the end result to a Brock Lesnar match left fans at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn shaking their heads.

In a main event billed as being 15 years in the making against Randy Orton, "The Beast Incarnate" decimated his opponent to the point where the referee was left with no choice but to stop the match.

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion busted "The Viper" open the hard way by delivering stiff elbow shots to his cranium, splitting his forehead open in the process.

In today's era of professional wrestling, bleeding in matches is greatly frowned upon, with nearby medical personnel ready to immediately intervene when necessary to protect the competitors involved. This leads one to believe that the finish to Lesnar-Orton was improvised and not the original plan, although that is by no means confirmed.

SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon came down to check on the status of one of his top superstars in Orton, but was greeted with an F-5 finisher by Lesnar for his troubles.

SummerSlam went off the air with Lesnar at the top of the entrance ramp staring down the prone bodies he left laying in the middle of the ring.
