Mark Sanchez might quite literally be fumbling away his chance at a starting job.
The second quarterback into the Denver Broncos' preseason game on Saturday night, the man known widely for fumbling while running into a lineman may have topped himself.
With 45 seconds left in the first half, Sanchez coughed up the ball while being sandwiched by two San Francisco 49ers.
Miraculously, the Broncos got the ball back the very next play with enough time left on the clock and the ball on the 49ers' 15-yard line.
However, three plays later, Sanchez hung in the pocket and was strip-sacked by linebacker Marcus Rush.
Is it too late to see if Paxton Lynch can start?
